I didn’t want to engrave the Green Bay logo down inside the pocket, but the surface of the knife is not flat. The engraving would not have come out correctly if I didn’t engrave on the flat surface created by the first machined pocket. I machined the pocket 90 degrees to the logo. This will be more apparent in the photos below.

The edges of the engraved letters do not look clean because of the texture on the surface of the handle.

The engravings look pretty clean from a short distance away and the scalloping of the edges due to the texture are less apparent.
