I picked up this pair of AV123
MFW-15 subs. They were in excellent physical condition and both had faulty amplifier’s. After researching my options, I decided
that powering them from an iNuke DSP amp would be the best way to go. I
have a spare iNuke 3000DSP but it’s quite a bit more power that the
speakers can handle. The iNuke 1000 DSP would be a better choice.

I removed the factory amplifier
and control panel from the top and then installed custom machined aluminum
block off plates with a custom recessed speakon connector housing.

When I designed the speakon
housing, I also made a template from which to cut the foam sheet to make a gasket
for the tire.

This is the gasket template with the foam material
sandwiched in between 2 template and held into place with paperclips.
An E-Xacto knife with a sharp
new blade is used to
cut the gasket to size and shape.
